Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 30, 2026

HTML Viewer is built as a local-first HTML preview, editing, export, and sharing tool. This policy explains what stays in your browser, what is sent to our server, and how shared HTML previews are handled on html.mdviewer.cc.

1. Local-first editing

HTML you type, paste, format, minify, preview, copy, or download is processed in your browser by default. We do not upload your HTML while you are simply editing or previewing it.

2. Browser storage

HTML Viewer stores open tabs, document titles, editor content, theme, preview settings, and display preferences in localStorage so your workspace can be restored on the same device.

3. Files and URL imports

Local files are read by your browser. URL imports happen only after you request them; the server fetches the target page, applies size and type limits, returns the HTML to your browser, and does not save the response body.

4. Sandboxed preview

Preview output renders inside a sandboxed iframe. JavaScript is disabled by default and only runs when you enable scripts and choose to run the current preview.

5. Share links

When you choose Share, HTML Viewer uploads the title, HTML, locale, content size, expiration time, share identifier, and protected verification data for the access password and delete token. Visitors must enter the access password, and links expire after 10 minutes, 1 day, 3 days, or 30 days.

6. Delete tokens

The delete token is shown only after a share is created. Keep it private because anyone with the delete token can remove the shared preview before it expires.

7. Service providers

When you open HTML Viewer, import a URL, or view a share link, limited request information such as IP address, request time, and user agent may be processed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
